School and Community Group Tours
On hour Group Tours for 100 or fewer are offered at 10:00am Monday through Friday. Group visits must be processed at least four weeks prior to your request visit date.
Group visit availability is limited and visits tend to fill quickly after your request in submitted, a group tour coordinator will contact you within 3 business days. Please do not finalize your plans until we confirm your requested date as we cannot guarantee that your group will be accommodated.

Note: Group Tours are not available on weekends, holidays, academic breaks, on select university events, or during certain office functions. Overnight accommodations are not available for group tours.
Group Tour FAQs:
Q: Can my group eat on campus?
A: Yes - Group tours are encouraged to have meals at the Islander Dining Hall for an all-you-care-to-eat option or request catered meals. This is dependent on the availability of the Islander Dining Hall or if space is available on campus for your group to eat. Please provide all request to the group tour coordinator. Large groups are not allowed to have meals in the eateries located around campus.
Q: How long do group tours last?
A: A group tour is approximately 45 to 60 minutes long. Depending on your requests, group visits can last up to 2 hours.
Q: Can I bring off-campus meals for my students to eat on campus?
A: Please complete a Food Exemption Form and include this in your email request. The Office of University Services will review your request and determine if you can bring off-campus food to campus. If space cannot be secured on campus for your group to eat, you may have to find an alternative location.
Q: Can my students have an admissions presentation or tour special facilities (ex. housing)?
A: This is dependent on the availability of professional staff and if space is available on campus.
Q: Can I bring a group to Island Day?
A: Yes! We accommodate high school student (only juniors and seniors in the spring semesters) at Island Day. Please email email@example.com with your request.
Preparing for your visit:
We ask that you arrive 10 - 15 minutes before your tour is scheduled to begin. When you arrive, please call the Islander Welcome Center at 361.825.8687. Drop-off location is at the University Center.
